You don’t need a title to have influence.
I used to think I did. That I had to hold a certain position before I could make an impact.
Yes, having a title can magnify influence — but it’s not a requirement.
💡 Influence happens in everyday moments.
When I walk in or out of a building, the way security guards or staff greet me affects my mood. That mood carries into the next conversation I have — maybe with a teammate, maybe in a meeting.
What if, because I was in a good mood, I facilitated a productive session where ideas flowed and the team felt energized?
When I buy something from a convenience store, how the cashier interacts with me influences how I feel as I walk out. That feeling might spark a creative idea I can apply at work.
When someone smiles at me as I pass by, I smile back — almost involuntarily 😊. That small gesture can lighten my mood and remind me to check in on a loved one.
When a friend or sibling asks for advice, what I say could shape their next decision.
✨ Influence is everywhere.
We all have it — with or without a title.
Now imagine if you do have a title. If you lead a team. If people look to you for guidance, or wait for what you’ll say or post.
The moment I realized that every time I speak in front of an audience or send an email to a group, I have the power to inspire — I became more intentional.
Not because I fear judgement.
But because I understand the ripple effect of words.
🌊 Imagine if we were all intentional in doing good — how much ripple effect it could create, and how much progress it could inspire.
🌱 So this is my quiet commitment — not so quiet now.
To use whatever influence I have to support, uplift, and guide others.
To keep improving myself so I can help others grow.
To make a difference — even in the smallest ways.
